Radar is a gorgeous 16.2h, approx 15 yo dark bay gelding looking for his next competition partner! While we were told he is a thoroughbred, we are not certain of his breeding. His lovely style of movement and his effortless jump make us wonder if he is a warmblood cross of some sort? Radar had quite a bit of hunter training before the loss of his left eye ended that career. He came to us back in 2016 from hunterland and went to a lovely teen rider. She spent some time eventing and in the dressage ring, before heading off to college and sending Radar back to us to find his new partner. With us, Radar has run through novice with plenty of scope for more. His amazing gallop makes cross country a blast and his steady, balanced approach to fences makes novice feel small. Radar does all phases in a snaffle and holds a lovely rhythm although he is a big, powerful mover. He has been known to use his size to his advantage on the ground and needs an occasional reminder to straighten up. Once corrected, he goes back to being a solid citizen! Radar is a mild roarer but it hasn't affected his abilities at all and he has no trouble making time. This absolutely lovely guy is going to make someone a fun, steady, and competitive partner!
