Meet Mater! This sweet fellow is looking for his best friend! Mater is super fun and not in a real hurry to go anywhere. Mater is an unraced 16h 9 yo bay thoroughbred gelding. While we don’t know his early history, he does have an unregistered microchip which indicates he was race bred. Once you meet him, you will have no doubt why he didn’t make the cut for race training. Mater was likely hanging out in the shade while his pasture mates practiced their galloping skills in the pasture. He has spent his adult life doing some basic wtc and poles. While he is green at jumping, he is quiet and willing. Mater recently went to Warhorse at CHP where he schooled cross country and ran a green as grass horse trial. He traveled great and scored a 24.4 in dressage to finish third! The busy show jump warm up was a bit overwhelming but he kept it together and was perfect otherwise. Mater is going to be a lower level dream with just a bit more experience. He walks on trails, rides bareback, and is great in the barn and pasture! No vices or limitations.
