If you want to get noticed (in a good way!) and have fun at the same time, this guy is for you! Nickel is an 11yo, big-bodied 16.2h OTTB. He retired back in October 2023 and has been very well trained as a hunter/ jumper in his second career. Since coming to us, Nickel has been playing in the eventing world. He is a lovely, free mover with nice gaits and a natural rhythm that makes him a blast to ride. Nickel is consistently coursing 2’6” at home with a change. He recently went his first show in a while, where he handled the busy atmosphere, gusty winds, and 30 degree temperature drop like a pro! He earned a 28.8 in the dressage ring with very positive marks from the judge and tackled his first cross country course, jumping around clear despite having no previous cross country experience.
Nickel is quite the character and has a big personality. He is looking for someone who loves life, adventures, and, of course, treats, as much as he does! He currently lives out 24/7 with friends. He gets along well with pasture mates and is an easy keeper! Nickel does have an old, minor bow right front that he sustained during his racing career.
